Election 2024: Elementary Resources

CLP’s theme for our 2024 school year is “Our Rights, Our Roles, Our Democracy.” Our organization sees the importance of sharing curriculum on the election process which connects to how our individual rights and roles contribute to the strength of our Democracy. Our Election Materials for this year’s edition focus on the following topics:

  • Elected Officials and Roles
  • Running for Office
  • Our Rights
We have designed these materials so that you can easily tailor these resources to the needs of your students. For example, you can integrate these materials into existing curriculum, use some or all of the curriculum as written, or create lessons to suit your specific needs. Please pick and choose what works best for you and your students. Essential Questions, Objectives, Vocabulary, and Oregon Standards (Social Science and Literacy Standards in History/Social Studies) provide a basic framework for each section of this document.
